Have you tried making sure there is a fan connected to each of the motherboard headers?
Long shot but sometimes boards come with the "Power off on fan failure" option enabled.

have you tried the ram one stick at a time? in different slots?

Bummer dude! Know how you feel, its a pian when you're desperate to get a system up and running and it refuses to work. At least you got the parts from a place you know are going to be reasonable with the rma.

Now i have to decide if i should keep the new psu or send it back
Got a call from Novatec today
It was a faulty mobo, has been replaced and ill be getting a new one out on friday
