    Question Graphics Card

    Hi all

First time poster so go easy!!!

As a skint hardup student a have just been given a Compaq Evo D500 - http://www.ciao.co.uk/Compaq_Evo_D500__5346893

But i have a problem through freebies i have managed to upgrade the HDD, Optical Drive and Ram but not the graphics card it's a MX440 but i want something a bit more meatier the thing is the heatsink on my card at the mo is pushed right up against the PSU so the card would have to be extremely small, and the mobo only supports 4x AGP.

    Please Help

6600gt maybe, you get them on ebay for nothing these days or around £40 - 50 new something like that

the best you can do is the 7800gs in its various guises if you want nvidia but they are £160 up.

Ati do the the x1650 (around £60 - £80) and x1950 (around £150) in agp. The latter probably being the best you can do
