Nice, I did have it at 3.4GHz yesterday but as soon as I ran Orthos the program came up with errors after only a minute odd. 3.28GHz will do me fine for the moment, I might try and O/C it some more over the weekend maybe.

What CPU Core voltage did you set it at in the BIOS?
As for some reason CPUZ doesn't show the voltage to which you set it at in the BIOS, it fluctuates a bit.

Does anyone know about the Power connectors on the P5B Deluxe & Enermax Galaxy PSU?

    TIA, James.

Why would you need good tidy cabling with
    A) a case without a window, no-ones gunna see it
    B) a case with water cooling, it doesn't need good airflow.

I disagree you still need good airflow over your HD's, RAM, PWM's etc especially when you overclock. But otherwise nice rig.

P.S. Mike i need you to tidy my rig up when i get my tj-09

    I have good airflow.
Upper HDD cage has a built-in 120mm fan which covers the 4 HDD's plus lets in air to send to the mobo and attached devices.

Lower HDD's get airflow from the triple 120mm rad fans.

The Ram is cooled by the Corsair Dominator Fan directly over it.
The Mobo is cooled by the Asus Optional fan that came with the mobo, both the Ram & Mobo coolers get their air intake from the upper 120mm hdd cage fan, it's exhausted through the upper rear 120mm exhaust fan. The graphics card has a slot cooler taking away hot air from the passive cooling on the card.

Temps for the gpu are very good, haven't seen the GPU go over 46C while 3dMark was running.

    staffsMike
You say your temps we're 5C difference using air, but what about your GPU temps? My cooling system cools both cpu & gpu and it does so quietly, the only noisy thing in my rig is the PSU and I’m working on fixing that.

5 Days in and Vista is getting my back up, prolly gonna go back to XP Pro this week.

hoping you wouldnt ask to be honest

it maxes around 65..which tends to affect my cpu temps a little too. I have a cunning plan for that though.

My case is pretty quiet. It's mainly just the sound of the air moving around inside rather than bearing noise etc..

air cooling will never touch water cooling just cant face the cost of doing it lol

Heh, you wanna get the new Zalman air cooler for the 8800 series, when it's released that is, looks the dogz and hopefully quiet too. Yeah the cost was quite substantial, probably cheaper to go for an all in one water cooling system at first, maybe that new Zalman Reserator XT. But I wanted one that would be quiet, good performance and would fit inside my current rig and it does all that, no more external cooling for me.

Formatting this rig tonight and going back to XP Pro.
