    Webcam Freezing Computer?

Recently replaced my aging computer with an Acer Aspire, not an amazing spec but the Athlon 64 X2 is quite a step up from my old Athlon XP.

Anyway, came to setup my Philips webcam this week and whenever I plug it in, Windows detects it and starts to install the drivers, and then it totally freezes the computer, as in a hard reset is required. Upon reboot I get the Windows loading screen and then it goes to a black screen and hangs.

    Any ideas?

I have a similar problem with my pc at work, if I plug in a usb keyboard rather than a ps2 one, the system locks up...unless plugged in with the other keyboard at the same time. Also, it I take it out, the pc reboots...strange but true!
