    Turning off/disabling Avivo on X1950XT?

    Hey guys,
Was just wondering if it is possible to do that, because I have a feeling its buggering up my rendering of vid I made and making the quality less crisp.

I've compared it to a vid I made (with the exact same settings) on my old pc with my geforce4 ti4200 and you can clearly see the difference.

    Thanks

Not sure about disabling it completely, but you can try changing it to 'Use Application Settings' in the video options of the Catalyst control centre.

Strange, never had any problems encoding vids. What codec you using, and encode app?

Im using WMV9 to encode, and using that straight from Sony Video Vegas 7.0d.
These are the settings I used, which worked fine for my other video that I made on my old PC:

Anyone happen to know anything about what windows media video acceleration does?

Oh and would you recommend downloading the avivo package?

IIRC it uses gpu acceleration on playback, dont know if it affects encoding, though.

Never encoded to WMV, so cant comment on the settings. Are you sure all the codecs are installed correctly. I had a game trying to get the codecs installed first time around, which was due to conflicts with the K-Lite Mega Codec pack I'd installed.

Nope, I have never bothered with a codec pack. I have never even installed the WMV codec before, it always just worked.

I'll give that avivo package a go. See what happens
