Microsoft trackball optical... need a new'un

It's out of warranty and it has a sticky (double-clicky) left mouse button.

I could attach a new microswitch to it but first I want to know where I can get a replacement... it's discontinued.

There are very few optical trackballs these days, i think Logitech and Kensington are the only ones.

Logitech has one that is a similar layout to that MS one.

I don't like the Logitech one - my girlfriend has it and it's too small/weird shape compared to what I'm used to.

In the end I got replaced the dodgy microswitch... may the gods bless RS! Hopefully that's sorted it... button's a bit harder to press now, maybe it needs 'running in'

If you ring MS "direct services" (ive posted the number on here a few times), they often have old stock for faulty replacements.

I managed to get my MS intelimouse V3 replaced when they were going for £50+ on ebay, directly from them

I guess that would have been better than ringing the Indian support line.

Still, a £5 order from RS did me OK.
