Motherboard for e6600

Hey guys

I have just got an e6600 and was wondering what you thought was the best motherboard for it bearing in mind that I am probably going to get an 8800 as well.

I am probs looking to spend less than £100 but will stretch to more if it is really worth the extra buck.

abit seem to have good build quality

(I like it anyway)

There is also the gigabyte ds3 which is a bit cheaper and is a good overclocking board.

Abit QuadGT one of the top 965 boards going. Its £5.00 over your budget but well worth the investment. Forum support is excellent both here on Hexus and on the Abit USA forum.

Personally I think if you going to spend about £100 on a mobo, it should be good quality whatever it is.

Asus P5N-E, £75ish iirc, good overclocker. 500mhz fsb easily reachable with the right components and knowledge.

It's a good board, it was close between the one I eventually got and that. I was swayed by the eventual possibility of supporting 32GB on the fatal1ty compared to the gigabyte ds3's 8GB

Asus P5B Deluxe/WIFI can be picked up for about £103 from ebuyer when using Google checkout.

The WIFI module takes up two internal USB connectors (leaving 8 free), but can be easily removed (to give you a total of 10 USB ports).

Very good mobo for overclocking.

lol, 8gb is far enough into the future, 32gb is probably in the next 10 years or so. I mean 2gb was considered alot 1 year ago when i got it. now its just standard.
