    Simple switch (networking kind) question.

I simply want to extend the number of hard wired ports my router can use. We already have a dirt cheap 4 port hub (netgear) working fine and was wondering whether something cheap and simple like this switch would suffice:

I am cutting out wireless wherever possible.
    Network plan is as follows:

Brackets after device are (used/total) wired connections.

    Broadband modem
    |
    Router (WRT54G) (4/4) - XBox - 2 Wired PCs - Wireless Wii and DS
    |
    8 port Switch (6/8) - XBox360 - 3 wired Pcs
    |
    4 port hub (4/4) - 3 Pcs

Yep, that'll work. If you want maximum performance I'd see about replacing the 4 port hub with a switch, but otherwise it will work fine

If you get a decent netgear switch it'll work as a drop-in solution, if not you'll have to crimp a crossover cable to connect the hub to it.
