    Core 2 duo is currently the best CPU available, and I think it'll be a while before AMD come out with anything that's as good as Intel's chip.

    If you plan to order a chip soon, definately get the c2d chip. But you might to wait till April22nd, when apparently price cuts are to take place.

    And don't forget their overclocking potential I got my E4300 from 1.86GHz to 3.1GHz stable
