Will adding another 512MB stick of the same RAM into my machine (Specs below) make it run a bit faster due to the Dual Channel lark?
Will my mobo support this?

Nope you MB does not support duel channel RAM and it would not make it noticeably faster anyway, only if you are a bench mark freak :p
Dang.
That depends on what you do with your rig... If you frequently handle large image files (or other very large files like presentations, databases, etc), and extra 512MB will likely to speed things up by saving Windows swapping out to HDD... :)
Sorry. Yes you would notice a difference between 1gb and 512mb or RAM. I meant that you won't notice a difference between duel channel and not.
If i were you i would save the money on the new RAM and get your self a new mobo, i dispise that motherboard. I used the same board to build my father a machine. It may be cheap, but it had so many problems before i had even stuck a hard drive in it, it was ridiculous, and now I have it 'working' it routinely resets its Bios to defaults, i think one of many problems is the CMOS is designed poorly. The damn board wouldn't even boot from a boot disk!
anyway, thats my ranting done :D, if you want a cheaper decent mobo the MSI-KT4VL aint bad at all. bye bye :) I will be quiet now
It works for me perfectly. Nice and stable. No problems.
I might upgrade in the near future for a bit more performance and slightly more up to date features.
myabe you got a newer revision or something... but I hate that board
