Basically a friend of mine gave me a stick of 512. Looks like the usual DDR stuff. But anyway he said that it blew up his old computer... I don't know exactly what happened but I took it anyway.
I haven't tried it yet, but I have noticed one thing.. the chips on it look different than usual. Instead of being rectangles they are little black squares.. 2 groups of 4 on one side (so 8).
Is it possible this memory is for a PowerPC or something? This is what it says on the sticker which is on the RAM:
HYS64T64000HU-5-A
A5V44405428
Assembled in Portugal
512mb 1 rx8 PC2-3200U-333-11-A1
Then there is a barcode.
Any ideas? Googling around seems to suggest it is Dell memory or something.
