Yes, I've got 1 (P120 250Gb) at the moment that I must get around to RMAing.
Detects fine in BIOS, can see it in Device Manager etc. but it just won't format - gets to ~90% & quits with an error message

ive had two, one IDE and one sata.

the sata one was due to my old motherboard overvolting sata ports but the ide one just went cold, not sure what happened

Zak- have you asked the question because of the low response to your poll or have you had a Samsung drive fail?

    yes, that's exactly why

I'm so suprised that it came no one voted for it being their worst.

And I don't know WHY I'm suprised, as I've never had one anyway.

Maybe I feel bad that I've never tried one. You KNOW I will soon

I've had Samsung, Seagate, Maxtor, Quantum, Fujitsu to name a few fail on me. As mentioned above no item is infallible, you just need to go with your best hunch. I've had problems with Seagate drives recently but guess what 500gb drive I recently brought?
