Asus Nine Hundred / Hiper Type-R 580W compatibility

I currently have a really cheap case and a Hiper Type-R 580W Modular PSU, and thought it time to think about getting a new case. The Antec Nine Hundred seems like a good option, and I was wondering if anyone here was using this combination? I am just wondering the power cables on the Hiper PSU will be long enough for the Antec Nine Hundred, considering the PSU is mounted at the bottom. If anyone uses this combination can they tell me:

If the power cable is too short, and if so, what extension cable(s) I need, and where these can be purchased from.

Thanks a lot... Any opinions/alternatives to the Antec Nine Hundred are also welcome, as I've not made a final decision.

the nine hundred is made by Antec btw

a bit of googling suggests that not all the cables will reach....

what cable extentions you need will really depend on whats to short....

easiest solution? different case or new psu....

Hiperpower are alright... They apparently dip power occasionally but i've never had trouble.

Its an ANTEC 900 by the way. Brilliant, cold, big, case.

But I already bought the Hiper, and it seems to be fine, have no reason to get rid of it. All reviews I've seen of it seem to be good.

Argh, how stupid of me, sorry about that.

a bit of googling suggests that not all the cables will reach....

Indeed, that's what I know so far, only seen one person so far who wrote a review using this combination who seemed to suggest that just the 8-pin PSU cable would be too short. Looks like it would only cost me about £5 for the cable, and another £5 if I need 20/24 pin, too. That's a cost I can live with, and Akasa IDE cables I've used in the past have been fine.

If no one is using/tried this combination, it's fine, was just a little curious, and don't really want to have a case which I can't use for a few days whilst I wait for some cables to arrive... I obviously don't want to spend £10 on cables that I don't need, either.

Other than the lack of fan filters/collection of dust, the Antec Nine Hundred seen like a very nice case.

The power cable shouldn't be too short unless it's shorter than normal on that PSU, or you're trying to route it around the outside.

You can get an extension however, here:

Sorry fella but you have been reading the wrong reviews then.
Hipers 580's are flaky and are low-mid range at best.

The 900 looks nice aswell but looking at it, it looks like a SERIOUS dust trap.
    ANTEC cases are good though

It is a bit of a dust trap, but good quality, cool and good to work with. Only slight niggle is that the front panel audio cables aren't long enough to route anywhere sensible, but I can live with that.

Do what i did with the 900.

Stick Mesh Tulle in the 200mm fan.
They should really ship with the mesh already installed, but hey, it's not too hard to do and looks great.
