Quick question... What the general opinion between these two coolers? Thermaright sk7 or the Alpha 8045... Don't really wanna spend loads so these are within my budget...
another question... Opinions? XP 2600+ 333fsb or Barton 2500+?

I would go for the barton over your shoice there
I would also go (yep everyone knows whats coming!!)
XP1700+ JUIHB DLT3C over the barton...
As for cooler i can only recomend the Akasa AK824cu, its the only one ive seeen in practice and for what it can do its well worth the £15
im with acidrainy, 1700+ JIUHB DLT3C from cpucity.co.uk + a volcano 11
Alpha 8045 (make sure you have 4-hole mounts in mobo)
Barton 2500 - extra cache and they clock higher!
If you are clocking then yes get the XP1700+, if not get the XP2600+ and the Alpha.

cheers...
seems to be mixed opinions about the 2600+ t-bred and the barton...
PS, yeah i thought the alpha would be the better choice
well if you are not OCing then the XP2600+ is the better choice. I know the Barton has 256k extra cache but this only makes a up the same power as 100mhz or so. I know the XP2500+ is the same power as the XP2400+ so the XP2600+ is more powerfull than the Barton.
Although the Barton should OC more than the Tbred.

Just pick the XP1700+
get a volcano 11 its done me very proud, and the fan is variable too
Coolermaster X-Dream is a good choice as well!
lol, i would be the odd one out, but i dont see anything wrong at all with the Retail AMD cooler i got with my XP 2500+, as quite a few reviews i have read have also said, i am currently running standard speeds, on the chip at 28 to 30 *c, and it didnt really go up when overclocked from 1.83 to 2.1. I also have 3 80 mm colling fans in my case if that makes any difference to you , but anyway, it seems good to me, even has 3 clamps on each side of the socket. (i mean the little hook things which clamp on the h/s)
