    Laptop for upto £1300.

Needs to be the best for the price, atleast 2gb ram, core 2 duo and good built in gfx for gaming.

Anyone know of the best laptops in the price range?

    Thanks in advance

Got a friend with a Dell XPS M1210 if you want something fairly small. Very nice little laptop.

He got it from a powerseller on eBay with a good spec on it and 3 year warrenty for about £1100-1200 if I remember correctly.

edit: found the seller, very nice spec model here for £1155 inc pnp. Also has a slighter lower spec for under £900.

Yep the xps M1210 is my favourite laptop of all time but the one i used was £2000 worth of it lol specced as high as they go bar 4gb of ram lol.

If it is a small laptop you're looking for it is probably the best you will come across (bar www.zepto.com ..i've said it in every other portables thread so why not this one )

    But from a typical manafacturer..

    this is quite kool.

Gaming is a slight stretch for the M1210. It can do it for sure. But CS:S stress test gave me about 60fps (remember highest spec) so it doesn't look good for more intense games on gfx.

Look at the specs on eBay and the specs on Dell and bar the ram that IS pretty much top spec.
Buy it direct from Dell and it would cost ~£2000

    it was for the company

yeah you certainly get a lot for your money with the M1210..trust me i'm not trying to put a downer on it..i love the thing!! lol

I just think for gaming it's not as strong as some may hope.

It's only a 64mb (dedicated gfx card..with the rest shared)
