    Logitech....AMAZING Service

Its not ofen you get this kind of service so i thought i would share it with you!

I have an MX700 that i use with my second PC and for some reason the mouse doesnt hold a charge. I tried to change the rechargable batteries but it still wouldnt hold the charge for more than 3 hours.

I rang Logitech and went through what happened on the phone.
The fella on the other end took serial numbers and said they would replace it (its 14 months old).

I was told that the MX700 is not available anymore and it would be replaced with a brand new MX1000 within 7 working days.

    That is incredible service.

Yup, they're pretty awesome. The charging dock on my MX900 failed soon after getting it, and rather than asking for me to send it back to be checked and replaced, they just shipped out another one. In retrospect, it wasn't the dock, it was the mouse itself, but I just used rechargeables and a separate charger afterwards anyway.

At worst, they appear to ask for the end of a cable (usually the USB) to be chopped off and posted back to them (after they've already shipped the replacement part) - not necessarily only with the cheap products either - a mate's high-end steering wheel had this service too.

My only complaint at all with Logitech would be their refusal to stock some replacement parts - if something fails, you have to hope that they'll replace the entire unit rather than the internal component which is giving up - prime example are potentiometers in the steering wheels, and probably most gaming controllers, outside of warranties.

i had a 2 year old mx wireless keyboard n mouse (mx700) set and the mouse failed to charge in the based, i emailed them as they have a 5 yr warranty to see what happened. they didnt have my set in stock they sent me a new mx700 mouse. later last year the keyboard stopped working so i emailed again and they sent me a new wireless mx3000 set (with laser mouse) as the old mx range is no longer sold.

all i can say is its amazing service

Thats because Mail in Germany is private, not like Royal Mail here.
I got a parcel from Germany, sent out on Tuesday, arrived on Thursday, but I was not at home.

There's lots of excellent stories about Logitech customer service, they really do seem like a company that values their customers. Makes me quite happy to continue buying Logitech stuff - I've had numerous speaker systems, keyboards, mice, PS2 controllers and wheels, and also recommended them to other people. They definitely deserve the extra business.

Thats exactly what you should get.

What is incredible, is that so many companies don't give you any help at all.

They did this to me with my set of Z-680 speakers when they broke. Only had to send off one connector back to them and had a brand new set within a few days. Does make a change to see a company that does care other than all the usual horror stories.

Not to put a dampner on things but Logitech's service was utter tosh to me.

Left mouse button on my MX1000 had started to play up. So I called them up, after an hour with the guy on the phone who wanted to check it was hardware not software that was at fault he said he would get a new MX1000 sent out which would arrive in 5 working days.

I waited, nothing arrived called back to be told the MX1000 was on back order and was so when the guy set up the RMA. Would take another 10 days to arrive. Again I waited and after 10 days still nothing.

I called again throughly pissed off, and was told the MX1000 was still on back order. I must say the person I spoke to this time was a lot more considerate, and said that she def has the MX Rev in stock is it ok if she sent that. Ok that would be here in 5 days.

I get a tracking number from UPS its gonna get shipped on a thursday. 17:30 no sign of UPS, I call. The make a right mess of it all as the driver claims that my address cannot be found easily. Even though the same driver delivers to the local computer store which is one street away. Finally on the friday the MX rev arrives (which I hate!)

There is some good to the story. A few weeks later I went away on holiday, in that time the MX1000 had come back into stock and they deliver it to my place. So when I got back I called them up to let them know they had delivered an extra mouse. They said they would call me back to let me know what they are gonna do. A few days later nothing, so I called again as was told "Have Merry Xmas from Logitech" and keep it.

    QFT...

I have a speedlink headset, the headset is fine but the amp that it came with has horrendous noise problems that have been slowly getting worse over the years, I tried emailing the company twice about the matter over the space of a few months and neither time did they even have the curtsy to reply. I might go for a Razor headset this time around, that way I don't depend on a dodgy amp to pipe sound through to my ears.
