    Question 1Gb Micron Major, DDR2 PC2-6400 - anyone got?

    Saw it here:

Nice bargain price, I figure give it a shot, nice 2 GB of RAM in my new system for less then £100!

Anyone got any / knows how good it is. I can already here ppl saying spend a little more and get this:

Things may have changed, but they used to have one of the most laughable RMA processes ever.

Micron are one of the biggest memory chip makers in the world (think Crucial). You shouldnt have any issues with them.

Just buy direct from Crucial (Micron), their 2gig 667mhz kit is £72 atm. Yes I know it's slower ram but the killer part is that it's Micron D9 chips on it and overclocks like there's no tomorrow.

I have read that I need a matching pair of sticks for my Gigabyte GA 965P-DS3P, what exactly is a matching pair??

If i just get two of these, that OK?

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=527001

    Will they 'match'??

    No guarantees.

Matched pair means it has been matched up at the manufacturers place to ensure compatibility for Dual channel mode.

To be honest the only memory I would buy now would be would be Crucial or Corsair, and Crucial only for their tracer models if I feel like some bling
