Mic aint working, help please! lol

Ok, i formatted my hdd the other day cus i got a new GFX card, ATi, old one was Nv, so thought it was a good idea, but now whenever i use my mic for TS2 and any thing else, it wont work, isntead i get my speakers relaying on that channel, eg, what comes through my speakers goes onto my mic, but my mic doesnt even have to be plugged in....

im using onboard sound on my IC7 mobo - AC97. running win2k pro, this all worked before so it must be fixable, nothing has changed on my pc except the GFX card, and i had that in before i formatted and it worked fine then.

any one know what this is?

    Thanks for any help.

Ps used the exact same drivers as before, will try and update them later
