Final speck check, please cast your eyes!

Would you be so kind as to have a scan over my gaming rig before i hit the dreaded send button. Do i need any additional cables other than the ones that come with the components?

    build it.. lol

Thats pretty much the bang for buck pc of choice at the moment. The motherboard will cause a riot i'm sure..but its fantastic so dont worry

I guess the only thing its missing for out and out performance is a Western Digital Raptor for your OS and Games to be installed on

EDIT: My eyes decieved me. The dominator RAM isn't necersary..just get xms2

You can pick up some decent branded pc2-6400 ram with the same timings as the dominators for about £50-60 less.

The EVGA 680i boards are problematic, you need the latest revision, or it could mean an RMA.

Get the cheapest GTX you can find.

If you can wait until the 22nd, there is aparently going to be a 40% price drop on that cpu.

I would wait until the intel core 2 duo price drops occur and I would also wait for the ati r600 to come out. It is not long.

I see AMD's prices dropping but I dont see Intel dropping by that much. They've got the market by the short and curleys..but its a bonus if they do.

Yet, but it soon things will, so might as well buy it now and save upgrading later?

the 680i is fine for quad core. Nothing is future proof really as next year intel will be changing the socket afaik

Nope, no guarantees, but as you know that the price drop is scheduled for the 22nd of april, you'll feel a right lemon if you pay top whack now.....well, I would anyway

p.s. have a search on this forum for the price drops.
