    Smile dvd writer recommendations...?

    what one should i get? only criteria is that it does all the new fangled format +/- doodars, 4x tho 8x prefered (despite there being a lack of 8x media..) and needs to be black, and slot loading is prefered

    Not in black, but some spray paint would sort that out
    not slot either

    BUT by far the cheapest and best value for money drive

    checked just now and it was out of stock cant you get slot versions of the 106? or is that just the 106 dvd-rom one?

    The LiteOn 8x is the only 8x drive I know of and it only does +R at 8x. Still, it does CD-Rs at 40x which is a lot faster than most.
