    DS3p versions

    I'm lookign to buy a DS3p, but noticed that there's revisions 1,2 and 3.3.

Only Microdirect that i've seen have written the version, and its 2.0.

I think Scan stock the 3.3 because its listed as fsb1333. If I'm wrong correct me please.

So firstly which version should i be looking to get, I assume 3.3 would be the best choice.

And secondly how do i know which version is being stocked?

And thirdly is there a way to update a 2.0 to a 3.3?

Scan have as far as I know a mix of versions, dabs have v2 boards and if microdirect say v2 then I suppose you've got to believe them.

The versions can't be upgraded AFAIK and even have differing versions of BIOS.

I've got a v2 that I got from dabs a fews ago, got it for £81 delivered when the average prices for these boards was around £93 + p+p but the price has come down since. Am more then happy with it. Haven't tried any overclocking as I'm currently using a crappy P4 641 3.2Ghz CPU but the board has been ubber stable.

microdirect told me to call them just before i put the order through and they'll tell me what revision.

Scan don't have the ram that i want otherwise I'd try them. And anyway according to the Scan thread they won't gurantee which revision i get.
