I wonder how they settled on the RAM and PSU... :p
Care to throw some ram my way:bowdown:
We are on opposite sides of the Atlantic. I can't throw that far.:p
 And i used to think your hands covered the globe. :)
lol, nice article. could help buyers decide what components to get :P
I like how they go on about it not being expensive
corsair dominator ram
Lian Li case
8800gts
thats probably most of the cost right there!!!!
change the case to a CM centurion 532 (the front bar one)
RAM to some other stuff
8800gts to an X1950 pro or 7900 series card or 8600gts soon
loads of cash saved :D
In this article, you are looking at the cost in contrast to a boutique or prebuilt PC. Read the title and the information. This is simply a guide on how to select components, not a super cheap budget build guide. And, anyone reading this should realize that none of it is etched in stone. The reader can change any component based a variety of reasons such as brand loyalty, budget, performance, OCing, etc. Our readers ask for this type of information daily at our home forum which is why it was written.
Im not that botheed about the specs as its a really good building guide with some good pictured on the bits that noone really covers in detail, audio and stuff
