    Smile power monitoring

    anyone know if there is any freeware out there to monitor how much power i'm using?

    Probably not, as I'm not aware of (m)any motherboards/PSUs that can report power usage via software. Easiest (and probably cheapest) way to do this would be to buy one of these: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?...=L61AQ&DOY=5m4 (wait until they're on special offer, usually about 10-15 pounds).

    I picked up a similar one from Lidl and it hasn't been used. If you're after one please PM me.

    Edit: I plugged it in but it was awkward to get to the wall socket so it's gathering dust.
