ballistix pc8000 settings?

I'm running some ballistix pc8000 5.5.5.15 with a chip that does 260fsb 520mhz.

the sticks are rated at 1000 mhz 2.2 V, what kind of settings should I use them at? 2-2-2-7 /520/ 2.1 V?

I don't know where to start and how to tune them up, I would love some guidance

leave them as they are.. and 2-2-2-7 is mission impossible

just push the fsb up if you want more out of them. Assuming you're on a core 2 duo they dont really mind about memory timings as much as speed (frequency)

from what I just read you wont get much out of them. 10 - 15MHz maybe.

You dont say what you are plugging them into, what chipset etc.

If it is C2D/965, youll probably find that cas4 is faster than cas 3 or 5, and that cas 2 doesnt work properly.

I think 4-3-3-1 was the fastest overall, and that was faster than 3-3-3-1.

thanks, it's an abit nfm2 nforce 6150 AMD chipsets, the x2 does 8hrs prime at 2560 and 2mins at 2600. lol so 256/532 is my maximum fsb , the RAM does 1k mhz!

afaik it's the same stuff as http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/part...2KIT12864AA663 just with a different SPD table.

thanks Buff! something strange is going on, if I try and put just the cas-ras/ras-cas times down from 5 to 4 @667, the system won't boot! That's only changing 2 settings!

I don't understand this chipset, it says the RAM is running at 800/5/5/5/18 but in the old AMD 64 chip sets the RAM would always go at the same speed as the front side bus because faster is pointless. what's going on? since when the RAM chips configure themselves with AMD ?
