The crunch point has been reached. My old PC will no longer run the games I want to play. Time to throw some money at the issue! :devilish:
In a nut shell I want to:
- Build an AMD machine which will require least replacement parts to fully upgrade to an Agena CPU. (mobo and cpu only preferrably)
- Have some overclocking potential before and after CPU upgrade
- Run very quiet/silent at stock speeds
- Include a DX10 Card for futureproofing
- Dual boot XP Pro 64 and Vista Ultimate 64 (OEMs)
After several weeks of reading review after review I've got a potential PC spec in mind:
Akasa Mirage-62
X2 6000+ (£156.28! :-))
Asus MN32SLI Deluxe - Single high end Graphics card, Crossfire not planned
2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2 Dominator,DDR2 PC2-6400, CAS 4-4-4-12
620W Corsair HX PSU
X2900 (R600)
2 x 320 Gb Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 in Raid 0 array + a.n.other storage drive
Zalman Reserator 2 or XT
Samsung 226BW 22" LCD ('S' panel)
Criticism ...I mean advice... constructive or otherwise greatfully received :heckle:
