Watercooling - portability?

I'm thinking of starting another PC build, with the last 3 PC's being in the AMD barton generations! Anyways...

Would it be possible to have a watercooled setup that I can take to and from uni? The journey's about 2 hours by car. I'm obviously worried about leakage issues, or would it be smarter to drain the system everytime I want to transport it (effort, time, coolant cost!)?

Will I even need watercooling? I'm thinking of an OC'd C2D system (doesn't have to be heavily OC'd, it's just that every chip I'm running is above stock and I don't want to break tradition).

Its not essential, but it is handy, and if you do it right, theres no reason why it would leak.

I would stick with air. Mine (my system) runs around 35 degrees idle and 48 - 50 under extreme load. Theres plenty of head room for more overclocking but I'm happy with my safe and stable clock.

How's the volume though? The main reason I wanna go watercooling isn't for OC, it's for my ears

Core 2's run cool. Arctic Freezer 7 Pro will cool it fine and thats with a E4300 running at 3Ghz. It's nice and quiet too.

I have mine about 3 feet from the girlfriends side of the bed and she doesn't complain about the noise at all (just the blinding light from the Eclipse) and it is on 24/7 with both cores at 100% load.

No reason why you can't transport a watercooled system, I have done it without issue before and it went fine, no leaks or anything like that. As Clunk says, if it is done right there shouldn't be any issue with it leaking.
