    PSU cable needed

Either I'm going blind or I can't see this on Scan

I assume I will need one to go from 4 pin male (psu) to 8 pin female (motherboard) or is it better just to get a new PSU, but does a new PSU come with this connection (20+4 and a 8/4 as well)

Pretty much every new psu should have a 4+4 or an 8 pin eps, most motherbosrds will allow you to just plug a single 4 pin eps into one half of the 8 pin socket.

That's what I thought as well, looks like I will have to do some more reading if the mobo can do or not

My replacement Hiper psu has not got it, I might have to make one

    Thanks guys

You daft bugger it's got the 20+4 and a 4 pin but not the 8 pin connector

Quote from another forum about it

I called PC Power and Cooling directly about this. The tech stated an 8pin EPS connection is only required if there and two physical processors, i.e. two separate sockets.

IMO what is occurring is MB manufactures are making the MBs compatible with both type PSs, ATX12V and EPS12V
and according to the manufactures FAQ looks like I can just use the 4 pin and use the red cover on the other part
