    You use wet n dry paper, and providing your careful theres very little chance of killing your chip especially as conroes dont have any pins to bend. theres a lapping guide half way down this thread. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sho...=lapping+guide

    Have you tried putting the Soundcard in a diff slot?
    My Audigy card refused to work properly in the last slot, so I had to squeeze it in under the gfx card, and it works fine, I think mine is a bodged PCI slot though. Try it.
