If it really will do EAX (or any other 3D gaming audio) to Dolby Digital 5.1 (or DTS) on-the-fly, then they will have a card far superior to Creatives own......and begs the question "Why hasn't Creative implemented this themselves?"

No, Vista's driver architecture change has temporarily rendered EAX inert, CL is working on reimplementing EAX through the OpenAL interface which will work for all supported OSes.

Perhaps Dolby refuses to license CL?.. who knows.
