    Slightly off topic

There are a bunch of places that have reduced their out of stock chips early.
I've noticed this recent trend, it's not just on cpu's but on other stuff aswell.
The moement it goes out of stock the price drops and when it comes back in stock the price goes back up again.
Personally I've got the suspition that it's to generate more hits from price comparrsion sites like froogle.

Personally, with the price drops I'm really tempted by the E6700 now, more or less what I was looking at with an E6600 but no need to learn how to overclock
    scared?

Looks like the price drops have happened now, £340 for the Q6600? £220 for the £6700? Dirt cheap.

Ooh, that quad looks tempting..... if only it would be of some use. Best wait for a few multi-threaded games, eh

I'm getting upgrade fever. I need to stop thinking that 'that quad isn't THAT much more than the CPU I want'.

    Use For Quad Core!!!!

I will be getting a quad core sometime soon, it is just begging to go under water with some crucial Ballistix (loooking very keenly priced too I might add) with an 8800GTS in my new system and overclocked to the hilt.

like off a shovel I think is the term

It's only £152 if you have free delivery but to most people that have to pay for P+P it's £159 including delivery

Oh and OCUK charge £163 including delivery

OcUK prove that business is easy even if

    - you're rude to your customers
    - you have appalling customer service
    - your prices and delivery charges are much higher than anywhere else
    - your RMA attitude is very much "try the manufacturer"

The only reason they're still trading is the loyal customer base they've constructed through that forum.
