you could use something like this
or you could roll your own using an old computer and Linux
....bloody hell that's a bit expensive - and wanted to avoid the old extra computer running - maybe i'll just stick with my seperate modem and get a network drive.....
an older p3 era computer with a few sata hard drives would not use more than a light bulb and would also allow you to do more and to add more stuff on.
older coppermine p3's come in at a shade over £30 on ebay and cheaper sata controller dont cost much. also sata drive can spin down when not in use
...well, as my network consists of my computer, my girlfriend's computer and a router - and we want some NAS - thought it would be good to get them all in one. Admittedly I should have titled the thread router/network storage - but hey, sometimes I'm a bit spur of the moment....

I don't know of any combined devices, ideally the two should be kept separate anyway because they do two completely different things, any combined devices are likely to be a potential security risk, keeping the two physically separate just makes sense. However I did do this before when I was using cable internet I used my storage server as a router, popped an extra NIC in, setup the routing and firewall tables and it did work well.
yeah, i wondered about the security thing, but i thought they could be completely separate devices working through the same power supply and in the same case. I seem to be collecting power cables...!
Also - i did the same router/server thing in my old shared house and it completely did the trick, just wanted to avoid having an entire computer doing this (more wires/cables etc. etc.) - I suppose you can't have everything
