    Upgrading and old dell

    I have just come into a Dell Dimension 4400


    Currently its got a 1.6GHz 400mhz chip.

    It takes skt 478 CPUs, but i think it takes 400mhz fbs, what would happen if i put a 533mhz northwood in there??

    it would either not boot or it would clock the processor down.
