    Good thought, thanks! Even £20-30 less for the GPU alone would do me fine. I think I'll wait then. G

      • Asus P5N-E SLi
      • CPU:
      • C2D E6420
      • Memory:
      • 4Gb named RAM (2 types, I forget which, tho)
      • Storage:
      • 250gb + 500gb external
      • Graphics card(s):
      • Nvidia 8800GTS 320
      • PSU:
      • 650watt
      • Monitor(s):

      • Internet:
      • BeThere, running at ~10mbps
    Quick question again:

    Scan have this BFG 8800GTS, running at 550 GPU, 1600 Memory.

    Overclockers have this card, also an 8800GTS, running at 510 GPU, 1600 Memory, on their today only thingie.

    Both have the lifetime warranty.

    Is it worth the extra £20 to get the card running at 550GPU?

    You won't really notice any difference between the two I'd imagine, & you can probably OC the latter to match the former anyway (just don't ask me how!). Similar alternative for £160 (using GC).

    Save a little if you go for the former - same OCed card for £175.67 at eBuyer (using GC again). Or, if you prefer Scan, it's £185.51 via TodayOnly. G

    P.S. Take advantage of Google Checkout whenever you can - make several orders over £30 via eBuyer (or other GC online retailer) to get £10 off each time. Delivery may be extra in some cases though.
