Yeah, this is one thing they drastically need to improve (along with finding the warehouse dwelling numpty who keeps re-stocking RMA'd stuff and beating him to death with a turnip ).

Free delivery is very good though so it'd be worth the wait imo.

Ive paid for city link saturday delivery about 4 times in the last year or so, and not a single one turned up. Wasnt from scan by the way, just thought I would add my £26.28.

I orderd an ATI GPU from Scan for Saturday Delivery, arrived JUST before it was time to go to work, so early in fact, I had time to unwrap it, install it and install the drivers and have a little play on CS:S online

PS. I think one the mods should put a sticky about OcUK and Initial Citylink, mainly highlighting that service is dependant on the region you live in as i've only had one bad experience with Citylink in all of my 2 - 3 years of using them.

Citylink is unfortunately another heavily franchised carrier network and thus very heavily regionalised in it's quality. Generally speaking if you get a bad experience more than once, you'll always get bad service from that carrier in your area.

AFAIK only Parcelforce still runs it's own network in it's entirity, and that's only because they can still use the Royal Mail's offices and if needs be, postmen, to carry out it's business.

I wouldn;t care about any of the memory timings. The differences can only really be seen by benchkmarking and you'll never notice them playing a game.

However if every last second counts when encoding some video for 10 minutes plus or other then I suppose you might appreciate lower latency RAM

I've never had any issues with ordering from dabs, never had a order go bad, nor a dud product, their system is automated, they don't charge extortionate delivery fees, and I actually prefer not having to waste my time phoning clueless call-monkey's and putting up with queues if I can avoid it.

I'd order from scan if they sorted out their website so I could make orders from Ireland.

Because they're money grabbing bastards who don't give a toss about their customers, and that's me putting it nicely. It's ok for you because you can brick their windows if they don't deal with your problems, so they do deal with them.

Anyway, back OT, you're better ordering high bandwidth sticks over tight timings.

somebody has their knickers in a twist

suppliers don't control whether you get a "dud" but they do control how they deal with them...which is badly in the case of dabs..read any forum..no one has a good thing to say about them...

and at least ocuk have a shop you can go to and moan at them...and a phone number...and a forum..

dabs have nothing but their chat system which is rubbish but you've never had to use it have you

..and watch your language..theres kids present!

The dont have a forum that you can moan at them in, because they ban you for breathing wrong.

Last phone call i made to them cost me £3.50, and then £2.70, and I ended up speaking to a brain dead imbecile called rob who told lie after lie.

eBuyer (I know I know) are doing £10 off £30 for all orders if you pay with google checkout. I have used this 3 times, and chosen 5 day delivery for repeated and pleasing savings.

Kingston DDRII 667 CL5 for ~£22. Then ordered it again! You save on each order.

i dont use the ocuk forum so i wouldnt know but im sure you can get their attention that way.

i am biased as im not far away but they have always been good over the phone for me too..so i guess its just luck of the draw.

all dabs will do in their chats is copy and paste from a list of answers they are allowed to give and it gets really annoying.

I've only had the misforune of dealing with OCUK twice and both times they were effing awful in all respects. Bad RMA, thick, rude, unhelpful staff who knew nothing about computers. Never again
