Question Can I use an Apple monitor with my PC?

    Hi Guys and Girls,

I was wondering if I could attach an apple mac screen to my pc? I like the look of them and according to the stat's when you look them up, are good runners (graphics artists seem to use Apple PC's so they cant be bad displays).

    Can anyone help?

    Cheers
    Panicos

You should be able to, if it has the correct connector, i.e. a standard VGA D-Sub, or, if your Graphics card supports it, a DVI connector. Basially, if you can plug it into your Graphics card, then yes.

Apple's modern displays use a proprietary connector called ADC which carries power, DVi, and USB.

you want one of these --> http://www.drbott.com/prod/db.lasso?code=0111-DVAD

the apple screens are big, but have very poor response times (50msec on the 17" screens, 45ish on the 23" screens, about 35 on the 20" screens)

and they cost a lot too

They are a waste of money in my opinion, look nice in 2D cost a bomb (as with all apple stuff) and suck at gaming.
