    Arctic cooling

I've just bought an Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro as a tempoary stopgap before moving to watercooling and I noticed that it comes with some thermal paste/pad already applied to the cooler base.

Does anyone know if this paste is any good? I bought some 80% silver content paste for another project last week and was planning to use that for this too. The paste already on the cooler looks a simlar dark grey.

    Any ideas?

Great, in that case I'll leave it on there

All I need now is a cpu to put it on! *nudges Scan*

If it is the same thermal compound as on the Freezer 7 Pro (I imagine it is) then to the best of my knowledge the compound is MX-1, which seems to do the trick in terms of contact/cooling.
