    this mobo anygood ? (Asus A8V-VM SE)

    seeing as i just got a bfg 8800gts 320 oc now i need a new mobo , will this manage me ? > (only got £45 left after car repairs and new card )

    Its fine. Doesn't o/c but works. Works well with vista and xp.
    Not around too often!

    As stated above, it's definately not an overclocker. Also some folks have reported problems in getting SATA drives to work - not sure if that's because drivers still need to be installed or user error.

    I personally think this is the best buy 939 mobo at the moment.

    It costs bit more but you can use Google Checkout to get 10quid reduction. I heard this one overclocks to fsb290 which is amazing at this price.

    I've got one in my server and it's a good board. Very stable and works straight out the box. Only annoyance is that you can't change the voltages, I was wanting to undervolt my cpu. And it only has one fan header! (apart from the CPU one)

    thx for the info , i just wanted a cheap board to last me till i upgrade my cpu . i needed a pci-e mobo to use my new 8800gts 320 , but i have said in other threads i prefer to collect in person my hardware i buy . this helps reduce the time if i have problems with the hardware
