Yate Loons.
Ah i want something with higher CFM's aren't the yates 40 something. The fan will be going on a controller for quietness, but want some power for when i'm gaming.
sharkoon golfballs are great.
but loony'ssharkoon golfballs are great.
Yate Loon D12SH-12 - 120er Lüfter - 2200 RPM from silencio_777 others in his shop.
yep i bought 6 of them their connected to my fan controller, throttle back to virtually nothing. I can hear my PSU now
I'm like you wanted something quiet but that can aslo be revved up if needed.

ThanksThe ones supershanks has linked to are the H(igh) speed version, whereas the ones you've linked to above are the L(ow) version.
Bit like comparing a vauxhall corsa to a Signum Elite, yep their both vauxhalls.
Ah yes I stand corrected
Sharkies are good for the price. Yates and Nexus both make some very nice quiet fans.
In my experience NMB-MAT's can actually be very noisy at stock though, while Nexus fans don't tend to be.
What about the thermally-controlled Antec SmartCool - is it any good? G
Good, perhaps. But if you're after silence ignore stuff like that. Antec don't make high quality low noise fans(the skinny tri-cools are OK on their lowest setting, but they're nothing special). Same goes for Akasa, they make ok quiet fans, but nothing special.
AFAIK the Antec are not in the same league as the Yate Loons.
The Antec tend to be Ball Bearing which are noisier than the Yate Loons.
