Question Thinking if moving to a SFF advice opinions please

    Hi All, Happy New Year,
I'm thinking of moving to a SFF for my next system, also I'm looking to have it as quiet as possible without being super slow.

    My Current Thoughts are:
    Soltek EQ3702M Mirror (nforce 2)
    AMD AthlonXP Barton 3000+ (FSB33)
    2 x Crucial PC2700 512mb (333mhz in sync with FSB)
Sapphire Radeon 9600XT Ultimate (or Pro AIW Ultimate)
    Optorite 8x DVDRW Black Retail
I'll use my Samsung 160gb for a HD, also my Seagate Barracuda 40gb.

My main worries are the heat produced by the CPU, having two HDs and that the optorite will work with the drive doors.

if you want quiet then go Intel...

I have 2 SB51Gs with 2.4B P4s in. They never need the fan to switch to high speed.

Also look carefully at whether you REALLY need an XT VGA card. Mine is a plain 9600 (non Pro) which means its all passive cooled (no fan). I've run 2 HDs also no problem and now run one HD and one DVD Writer in each.

Not even worried about changing the fan for a Pabst or modding the PSU fan for a quieter one.

The ultimate edition is passively cooled, its the bottom card here:

I've just preordered it, I'm hoping to sqeeze abit more life out of my current setup, but if it doesn't work I'll do the upgrade.
