Buying new PSU today - advice please

    Hello

Just wanted some of your valued advice

Due to issues with my set up - my x1950pro keeps cutting out - i dont think my 500 xclio psu is up to the job. With dx10 looming and probably going to go for a 8800 sometime so now is a good time as any to get a psu.

the requirement to run my x1950pro is minimum of 500W and a minimum of 30a+ sustained amps on the 12v rail to run correctly.

I am thinking of getting the Enermax infiniti 650W... http://www.yoyotech.co.uk/product_in...0011b8b5044ffc

    It has...
    Output +3.3V@25A,+5V@30A,+12V1@28A,+12V2@28A,
    +12V3@ 28A,-12V@0.6A,+5VSB@3.0A

Would i be right in saying that this should be fine for my current card and also if i upgrade in the future?

I'm going to buy this afternoon so if anyone has any advice it would be warmly appreciated

I'm a true Enermax user, have been using them for years but from what I've read the Corsair HX620 is also worth a punt.

Yeah, i have always previously had enermax and always been happy, but decided to go the cheaper option with the xclio but have learnt a lesson there now. Seems you cant cut costs on the power

Enermax are one of, of not the best power supply manufacturers around today. Many good reviews recently, a quality purchase imo.

Used them for many years myself, never a problem.

Another thumbs up for Enermax. Never had an issue with any Enermac PSUs I've had.

Another vote for the Enermax. If anything does go wrong, just ring them up and they will usually send you one out via city link and do a doorstep swap. Excellent service

You'll like it, or rather your system will. I got the 720 watt version, 650 wasnt out at the time. Running, see system, and its solid.
