Advice on Micro ATX

I'm going to be building a couple of small systems in the near future.

Are there any good Micro ATX boards for Core 2 Duo's yet. What i really want would be the am2 one linked below but for an Intel..Raid being fairly important as I want two HD's mirrored.

I'll probably be building into a Silverstone SG01..are there any other small cases offering the same flexability? (ATX PSU's etc..) I believe im right in thinking that larger (8800 size) cards will fit.

Overclocking isn't essential but might be nice too.

It's made by a company called 'Eye-T'. The full name of the case is the 'Eye-T eCute CAS-222'

Means it's likely to have a useless PSU.

yeah the case isn't quite what i need and any 650w psu for that kinda of money isn't worth thinking about..this isn't for me so i need it to be stable and reliable as she wont know whats going on if her pc errupts into a firework display lol.

Any more cases worth considering? and motherboards?

I think the sg01 will do..money isn't very tight for it but i'd like to save as much as possible as i'm sure you all understand

the F-I90HD has some ok results for overclocking. Stable FSB speeds of between 330mhz and 360mhz.

I'm going to wait for some the penryn cpu's and boards now as it's not needed for another few months at the least.

I don't know what the p5b-vm can do though.

just noticed you got a thread regarding what we were talking about in the scan-care

SUGO's seem to work well, the fatality board isnt half bad at all - problem is though that the SATA ports get covered up by any "big" dualslotted cards - 8800 GTX/GTS/Ultra.

My mate has a e6600 - 8800 GTX and a Fatality board in his pc - and it all seems to fit well.

The 8800 fits well in the case - but as I said in the other post - if you want a 8800 GTX/Ultra - you can't use the caddy with some hard graft!

The main one i'm going to build will be penryn now so i'm gonna hang on and wait for some decent uATX boards for them.

I see what you mean about the sata ports. It's not for me it'll be for my gf and I want her running Raid 1 just for peace of mind for her work so 2 hard drives are a must.

She wants to be able to play games well on a 2407 too though so it will need a good gfx card.

I'm hoping by then there will be some decent cooler running cards or good after market coolers for whats already around.

yeah im trying to decide whether to wait for the new intel/amd chips and then go for it - or just upgrade now

i have one of the ebuyer "knock off" xqpacks, solid case apart from it needing a saw in order to fit a descent sized hs+f.

it it is NOT small however... if your thinking you are going to be getting something shuttle sized you will be very disappointed.
