    Problems installing Vista on Gigabyte GA-8AENXP-D

    I am trying to install Vista on the above but it refuses point blank to find a drive to install onto, I have been to the website and downloaded the supposes Intel RAID drivers for Vista but it still fails to find any drives, can anyone help me with this.???

    Obvious question first - are you using the Intel RAID controller or the Silicon Image one (I note there's two on that board)?

    Second, if Intel - was it the 7.5.0.1017 drivers listed here: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/M...me=GA-8AENXP-D

    What you need is the 'F6' driver disk drivers in order to get going. My work system has an intel RAID jobby and i provided the F6 drivers via a USB key during installation (via the Load Driver button).

    Thanks Dangel, I later realised that indeed it was the Silicon Image controller that the drive was connected to, after installing these drivers at F6 everything was fine.
