Not AFAIK - there will probably be a patch / expansion pack for it

    nothing is future proof...

But the general consensus here is any 8800GTS is a good card.

Dam that is cheap, considering I just paid £240 for a 320mb 8800gts, dont regret it tho cos its the fastest one available, and its only for my kids

Yes and I waited for the HD 2900 XT.
Decided that its not worth the extra so bought a Leadtek 640MB 8800 for £214 from Scan today.
I have never put Nvidia before ATI but this time I could not justify the massive difference in price for little gain.

BFG gives you a light oc and lifetime warranty..plus they look the shizzle

Evga will offer you a 10 year warranty and a 90 Step up if you feel you need a better card you just pay the difference which usually works out as not much.

Leadtek is cheap but solid and looks really kool to me. Thats what i've got. (2 years warranty)

XFX can normally be had on scan for about £170.

End of the day they are all the same card..it's just whether you want a huge warranty or a cheap price.

well to be perfectly honest..if it's going to fail chances are it will fail early on so you will only need a short warranty.

the problem with having a 5+ year warranty is that after that 5 years if the card breaks you will feel compelled to use it and you may not want what they replace it with.

    ..but your money is safe.
