    Headaches over choices

THink I have a headache, so many things that are good about 3 or 4 cases but stiull cannot decide.

The downpoint about my original choice the Akasa Eclipse is the plactic front and the drives being on show butthat might not be all bad. It has many things going for it.

I have 3 here and if anyone can suggest others take a look at I am open to suggestions:

    Silverstone TJ05B
    Akasa Eclipse 62
    Coolermaster Wavemaster.

    Thanks Gurus

    Wavemaster uses 80mm fans..scrap that.

TJ05B has the usual silverstone build quality no doubt which is a big plus but then the akasa is built so well the difference will be negligable.
It also has space for two fans for you gfx cooling which is a nice touch.

If you don't like the front of the eclipse get the mirage. it's the same case with a different front to it.

Personally I quite like my Eclipse..its looks really old skool and understated which appeals to me. It's so roomy and nice to work with..worth every penny to me.

I've got the ThermalTake Armor Jr, it's got really good airflow through, compared at least to all my other previous cases.

As staffsMike has advised, forget about the Wavemaster, airflow is very bad in that case.

I've got an Eclipse, brilliant case IMO. I've just swapped a system from a P180 in to the Eclipse.

Eclipse is a great case due to the size and removable mobo tray.

However, one thing that really annoyed me was the HD LED. Because the front can be completely removed, there is a gap between the actual LED (which is attached to the case) and the clear plastic on the removable front. This means the light from the LED does not transfer through the clear plastic, particularly when looking at an angle, and so it's difficult telling when the HD is being accessed.

Some people have made simple mods by wrapping tape/paper around the LED to create a mini tube which better transfers the light to the clear plastic.

Alternatively, the Mirage 62 did away with the removable front (no doubt for this reason) and would be better IMO.

It's only a small thing, but it did annoy me.

The downside being, the Akasa Eclipse 62 is one bloody ugly case.

Then again, there hasn't been anything as pretty as the old Coolermasters for a long time.

I still think the 201C-SXK is the most beautiful case ever made.

Cases are so ugly these days.

    laze.

    Eclipse FTW

Wave master is oooooooooold, made for systems lik 5 years ago

TJ05 has the great build quality but poor airflow and its noisey and rattles about loads (my current case)

However silverstone are a top company and i will be buying from them again.

I agree the older Coolermasters were very good looking cases
