Hi guys,
Looking at getting a motherboard and RAM (2GB) for a E6600.
I've been looking at the following: Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3P + Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3
Is this a good combination?

Aye but it's luck of the draw overclocking memory, I'd go with rated PC6400 sticks if I were you.
A mate of mine put the following system together
E6600
Asus P5B-E Plus
Crucial Ballistix PC5300 DDR2
XFX7600GT
Corsair 520W
Akasa Zen case
He's managed to overclock the memory to same clocks as the 6400 or 8500 stuff. I asked why he bought the crucial ram and apparently Crucial will replace your faulty memory within 48 hours. Do the research and hope this helps.
yea, i'd suggest picking up a 6400 stick instead, they're quite cheap at the moment.
I agree that the crucial ballistix sticks are very nice looking and will do an excellent job, but you can get cheaper 6400 sticks instead.
