    8600gt fan?

    just bought an 8600gt msi oc

    noticed it had a fan connector does this NEED to be connected to the psu? if not why is it there?

    gonna take a stab at no..

    As long as the fan on the card is working it should be fine.

    Perhaps it's there for after market coolers etc..

    ok thanks i am using it without the connecter anyways as the fan connecter is too small for a psu fan connecter, and on a side note msi bundle alot of crap on thier cd's lol
