There maybe good things to say about both these boards but I need to buy one and I am not sure which one to go for:
Gigabtye DS3P
Asus P5B DeluxE.
Any advice on experience, another forum says DS3 another says Asus!!

Im sure everyone will tell you P5B deluxe, it is more expensive though. Much better board.
Both very good boards and both best of their breeds really. I hear very good things about that revision gigabyte but the the p5b is tried and tested (pretty much to destruction by our resident clunk :p)
Which colour would you prefer?
Its supposed to be the best DS3 there has been..
although some may say you can't polish a turd :p
I'd try the DS3 if it were me..Although my sensible hat would tell me to buy the Asus
arrrgh...sense says get Asus, wallet says DS3P. :-)
If sense is telling you to get the asus, then put off buying for a month to save up for it, rather than buying the ds9p which, in your eyes, is now 2nd best.
Either of the cards are fine, but get the one you want.
I've got a DS4 which is good, but the chipset gets to 40C (or about 37 with my new noisier fans). And the DS4 comes with a big fat heat sink all over the chipset.. So I would worry about how how that would get without it (the DS3 is without it).
Other than that though, it seems like a good board. Can't compare it to the P5B though, because I don't know anything about that one - other than the fact that it gets really good reviews everywhere.
---edit---
Only other thing worth mentioning, is that my friend has an ASUS motherboard, and he says he can't flash the bios without buying a floppy drive.. I'm not sure if thats true, or if he is mistaken, or if its just his particular board (I dont think he has the P5B). But I thought I'd mention it anyway. My DS4 lets me flash the bios from windows, and im guessing that the DS3 is the same.
have a look at the p5k
