wot do ya think of this monitor ? any comments would be great please!
i have one (am using it now), it supports pretty decent resolutions / refresh rates, it isn't completely flat but is pretty close, the picture is very good, and i've never had any problems with it, and for close to £100 as i imagine it is now, it's a bargain.
I used one for 15 months. It suffered frame collapse. I phoned Iiyama and after two days they replaced it for new, to my front door. They offer a two or three year warranty, which it seems as if they honour. All they wanted to know was purchase date, name of supplier and serial number, no other questions.
For the price, it's a good monitor, screen's not flat, but for that price it's still a goodie.
In the end I sold it to a mate of mine for £50.00 and bought an Iiyama Pro514. He's still happy with it 8 months down the line.
To sum up: good for the money.
I've had mine for 8 months, and I agree with fondie 100%Originally posted by fondie

Don`t Iiyama use Mitsubishi Tubes at the top end of the range.
i have just ordered a secound hand Iiyama 19ins Vision MST 1451/19 FST for like £114 with delivery from ebuyer and if it is faulty i still got 3 year warante with it tis a bargain
£126.90 delivered new from scan :- http://web6.scan.co.uk/Products/Info.asp?WPID=16379 though they do have it on daily/weekly deals for a bit less sometimes, i only say because i presume it's not too late to cancel your ebuyer order if you did want to spend the extra for a new one.
I got mine for £119 + £3.50 del from dabs.com
I've got a VisionMaster 451 and it's pretty damn good, as are most Iiyama CRTs.
Plus you get the 3 year warranty where they come out and replace your monitor if it goes flakey, 'tis not to be sniffed at!
Their Customer Service is second to none - they seem to have pride in their products and *appear* to want you to enjoy them as you should.Originally posted by floppybootstomp

I had a VM Pro 450 for over 3 years - needed to swap it out once and there were no problems at all - just got a VM Pro 514 (22") and I'm very impressed with the tube enhancements (especially the high contrast modes for watching DVDs etc...).
You can't go wrong with Iiyama for price/performance - if you have more money, however, I'd be tempted by Sony's high end CRT offerings .22 DP/AG
I've always used Iiyama monitors and can say that i've been nothing but pleased with them, never used their customer service before but the 454 that I got for christmas has very blurry corners and no ammount of messing with the monitor control will solved it so I rang their customer service and their bringing a new one out tomorrow, no questions asked.
Very Pleased with Iiyama on the whole .
