I use Fx5600 with maya 4.0, photoshop, and premier and it is ok. I know that gaming grafic cards are good for editing and 3d.
But they are made for games and most of the programation of this cards is just for that. the quadro are made to develope grafics. Is not only about speed and raw power as the gaming ones, it is about the programation, and special features that makes quadro works better for developement.
