    Upgrading Dell Optiplex SX280

    Hello guys

I have some Dell OPTIXPLEX SX280's at work which I am upgrading. Can any tell me what the fastest type of RAM is that I can fit in these machines are.

I was hoping to purchase some DDR2-800 type ram.

Maybe some examples of some good performance ram that is compatible with the pcs would be helpful.

    Thanks.

Easiest way to see what they will take is use the crucial checker

www.crucial.com/uk and then do the scan my system

it will tell you whats in there, what it will support and the memory type.

    Ok cool,

I was hoping to purchase a Gigabyte DS4 motherboard. I hear they are quite good.

I would like the ram that i put in optiplex's sx280 to also be good enough to put in the DS4 (my home pc hehe)

    any recommendations ?

I have purchased the following ram and wondered if it would be a good match for the DS4 mboard.

    KHX6400D2K2/1G 1GB kit DDR2 800MHz Non-ECC CL5
    (kit of 2 - 512MB) 5-5-5-15 1.95V
